Extroverted introvert?

Have you ever had a conversation (emailed, forums or face to face) that was so weird/awkward/confusing, trying to figure out exactly what that person was saying was actual work? Let's face it, we're writers so we tend to be socially awkward introverts. But as you get older, you get better at pretending to be an extrovert and have given into the "correct" way to communicate and interact.

So all this time, I've been thinking that it is safe to assume (after having said weird/awkward/confusing conversation) that it's the other party's fault for such a confusing conversation and not mine.
However, these confusing conversations have happened enough to me lately that I've started thinking maybe I've pretended to be an extrovert so long that I am actually on that team now. I speak with total and complete sense now and my fellow writers don't understand. Right?

Right?
